Is it ok to ask the manager for a 1-1 on regular intervals ? Manager who is responsible for appraisal as per SPEED.

Yes .. I am a manager although new to TCS culture but have initiated this here too... Why wait for 8-9 months to give constructive feedback or even receive feedback.

Well, it's a blind shot. A 1v1 with your appraisal manager be greatly beneficial if the manager respects your contribution to the project, or can go south, depending what things are revealed in the conversation.
