Is it normal to share PAN details early in job recruitment? Need advice!

I recently got a call for a job opportunity where they asked me to confirm my PAN card details over the phone. I told them I’m not comfortable sharing it that way, and they said they would send an email instead.

I did get an email from a company with a verified domain, but it included a TCS registration form and asked for lots of personal info upfront.

Has anyone else experienced this kind of process? Is it normal to share PAN details this early, especially over email or phone? Just want to make sure I’m not falling into a scam.

It's normal l, earlier they focus on email and mobile but one candidate can have multiple mobile no and email also, and can give multiple interviews for a company at the same time, that's why they started asking for PAN now.

but i received a TCS registration attached in email asking for PAN and personal details, but the URL was suspicious (gr.tcs.com), with spelling errors and an “Activate Windows” watermark. It feels like a phishing attempt. Has anyone seen this before? How do you verify such forms?
