Is it normal to feel like a fraud/impostor when starting a new role in a new company?

When I joined my previous company there was this overwhelming feeling that will I be able to thrive. Same feeling in the current company which I joined recently.

In my previous company that fear/feeling led to me doing much better than thriving.

Is impostor syndrome normal ? Why?
