Is it normal for startups to be all over the place?

So I have started working at a startup, and their projects are in so many domains all over the place, sometimes it feels like they don't know what they want or what's the aim. Is it normal for early stage startups? On top of that, there is Saturday working and long working hours, fast pushy timelines, etc.

Since this is my first time working, is it normal or did I end up somewhere not so ideal?
