Is it new labour law's gratuity applicable to those who have a serving notice period?

Is it new labour law's gratuity applicable to those who have a serving notice period? Or is it applicable only for new joiners to those joined after 21 Nov 2025 ?

Gratuity law is only for fixed term contract employees. The policy for gratuity remains same for permanent employees

You mean the gratuity period for permanent employees is the same as 5 years while the fixed term contract employee's eligibility period is 1 year ?

This is really insane, how come benefit to only fixed term employees and not regular perminant employees. Don't know govt of India doing partial labor laws 🙄
