Trending @Accenture; Is it mandatory to keep camera on during meetings? Leadership is forcing to have camera ON .

Unless you want to turn your camera on, Noone can force you to turn on your camera. They will request you to put your camera on, but you can politely decline that request, and this behavior is legit, so no need to worry about declining the request.

If you’re looking for a diplomatic way, then tell then that you’re trying to turn your camera un but it appears to be having some issues.
If you wanna go full idgaf mode then:
Ignore and if they force you ask them, if the content of the meeting have anything to do with the fact what I am wearing or looking like?

If it's team meeting we have to turn camera on, if personal meeting you can politely decline but doesn't work always. If team is not willing to participate actively management may ask WFO also. So be reasonable. Anyway issue with keeping camera on?

One can have multiple responsibilities at personal level, you never know what a person is juggling with while working. My point is if, if I am contributing well on the deliveries and am allready receiving client appreciation, what is the point of forcing on camera's? If something is uncomfortable it's uncomfortable, I am not sure how to explain this to leadership .

Once in a while we might have reasons but if working as a team everyone should adhere to it. There might be people who are just joining meetings and not responding or listening to meetings. Personal excuses are fine once in a while but being irresponsible can't be encouraged. If you are delivering as expected and not getting considered speak to higher management. This is in general not sure of your situation

For some reason every Leadership person insists on putting the camera. But in daily meetings I don't think this mandatory

I think it is good to turn our cameras ON as the other party on the call feels engaged with us. This is a good way of showing visibility as well.

I don’t think it is mandatory as far as I know, if any person particularly pings you alone and asking you to turn on the camera means you can report that
But if it is a general project guidelines means try to turn on at least once or twice

Not mandatory

I thought Accenture prefered a no camera policy
