After one month of filing e-separation I had call with practice manager. He said he will try to get hike from retention budget but does not guaranteed. After 2 weeks manager came and ask to pull papers back asap otherwise he has to find replacement for me and he will also approve separation. I'm in dilemma now as practice manager not guaranteed and even it is going to happen it will take time. But manager has to approve my separation to find other candidate. What can be done in this situation.

Don't Pull paper back until you get a hike letter. If you pull back without any written confirmation/hike letter, they will definitely not provide any hike. I have seen many such cases. Don't make the same mistake.

I am assuming you have an offer in hand. Please quit. Once you withdraw resignation, you will lose respect

Don't pull back your paper. I have also resigned from Infy and my manager told me he will try to retain me. After a month he came back and said they will give me 20%-30% hike on my current CTC whereas I've got 195% hike from another organisation. Don't get into this trap of retention...they will not give you more than 30%.

Let it be find opportunities outside

why do you want to leave the organisation. if you were expecting better hike and position just move on. if you are comfortable here then take back, its not guaranteed.

they never approve seperation till the last day

It’s a trap don’t fall in it. Please get placed in other organisations who is giving better hikes. Even SDM cannot guarantee hike. The Revisions has to come from CFO & VP HR. SDM’s cannot even fight with TPD’s for good resources& Ofcourse how they can provide proper justification for our retentions to TOP Management. Hikes in Infosys is a MYTH
