Is it fine/bad to not be scared of getting fired?

Maybe its complacency, but I earn pretty well (50+ fixed) and have pretty good savings in bank. Stay with parents in Bangalore in our own home. So I feel I am overpaid a bit(being honest, If I create a business of 2cr+ atleast then my salary is justified but I doubt that), and am certain when they want to axe someone that would be me. But fck it. I don't care, I am happy as I know I will find one or other job given few months at worst. So what this has made me do is, since there is some politics & I am constantly being shoved some work which I don't like much but my counterpart keeps getting a track of work that's hot in industry time & again. With all this, now I don't feel like I owe company too much as I know I will certainly quit in some time (6 months maybe), so I pickup and do work on my pace and on my terms.

Is this a bad thing to have in mind? Will getting fired won't pan out the way I am imagining it would? Am I better off sucking up to everything & bend over & get into all sorts of politics & fights to save my job & future if there is a firing in future?

( I am not a PM, into AI & analytics, 7 yoe)
