Is it compulsory that I have to check MS Teams notifications even after office hours? Also is it compulsory to install teams on phone?

No, it’s not compulsory to check MS Teams after office hours unless explicitly required for your role. As for installing it on your phone, that's also optional unless your manager insists. Boundaries matter, communicate them clearly and maintain work-life balance!

It is not explicitly required, but team lead unnecessarily pressurizing me, what should i do?

If your team lead is pressuring you unnecessarily, calmly communicate your boundaries. Let them know you're committed during office hours but need personal time after. If the pressure continues, escalate it to HR or your manager with facts. Respect works both ways!

It is important that you set boundaries at very beginning. Once, you start giving your time even after office hours, it becomes habit for them.
However, this doesn’t mean you can’t start now. You can choose either of way to communicate them 1) you mention clearly about you being not comfortable after working hours 2) you start giving indirect hints like - going away/offline on teams and later next day say that you didn’t see it. If you get a call, tell you have come out for something. If someone say, can you do it once you reach home/office, you can say that it would take time to reach.
Slowly, they would understand that - they can not get things done from you this way. If you are in meeting, check with them if it is going to last longer after work hours, tell them that if it can be paused for around 15-20 mins as you have some personal work to do at that time like picking someone, or dropping someone or buying something

In TCS, you need to be on it 24x7 if you don't maintain boundaries at the start.
