is it a Good switch QA(Automation) >> Backend Dev

Software QA(Automation) having 3 yrs of exp with Salary 12LPA , thinking of switching to Backend dev role . Although here are my few queries :

  1. Is QA domain good in long run with respect to salary .
  2. Will Dev role be difficult to adapt , as i have exp in development but only in writing test scripts .
  3. How much should i expect the staring dev salary to be as compared to my current CTC ?
  4. Is it a good switch , say if i stay in QA domain for 2 more years then i guess CTC would be around the ball park of 18 - 20 LPA . But if i switch to dev and gain 2 years of exp will it be able to match the salary of QA ?

Will u be able to survive in dev role? Backend and test script code are very diff. Have u done any projects?

None , but thats what i am trying to figure out ! how Difficult u mean in logic building or the syntax / learning the frameworks ?
