Is it a common practice to accept the offer and reject it if you get better offer a week later?

Rescinding and rejecting an offer after accepting - both are unethical. If people continue both, the only thing we’ll end up with is candidates blaming employers and vice versa.

Ideally, yes. That's how it should be.

But, as we always see, it never is.
