Is IQ test has any merits ?
Just did some IQ test on some online platforms mine was 105 in 1 test and 102 on the other test . Which is average . Surfed on the net to see if good iq score of 130+ really does make a difference .
Always i have seen people who grasp concepts quickly in both work and in school as well .
What are your guys thoughts on this and if a good iq score really makes a difference and how do you deal with the unfairness of this

IQ matters in job will need excellent intellectual capabilities. Software Engineers and Investors (not wealth managers) are two such jobs. Other jobs can be done by folks at 85-115 range of IQ. In those jobs EQ, people management are equally or maybe more important.
Haha, read your answer and thought this person must be a investor and I was right 🤣 yes gud sir , only investment and software engineering needs IQ. recently read a similar a tweet where a VC compared themselves to having quick response like the F1 drivers

FYI, it has been proven through studies even for a post like CEO, 100+ IQ is good enough, other skills and physical attributes become more important. Just check avg. height of a country population and avg. height of top 500 CEOs. I have read enough about these things

The average human IQ is 100, an IQ test is clinically only administered in extreme cases. IQ tests, like any other standardised tests suffer from the fallacy of being super "English" centric and "western" centric.
Just because someone is quick to grasp concepts and work well doesn't mean they have a high IQ. Clinically speaking, IQ is not what we refer to it in layman's terms. Someone with an IQ below 100 would actually suffer from abnormalities and someone with an IQ above 100 would actually be considered a savant.
I'm not sure if I did the topic justice here, its very vast, but tl;dr: Good IQ score doesn't really make a difference
