Is Infosys a women’s company now. Why in hiring sites it’s mentioned like it’s prefers women over men. Is it not a gender discrimination 🤬.

This is a result of years of neglect towards diversity ratio in the company which eventually starts affecting company’s overall ratings. Basically companies with low diversity ratio cannot apply for “great place work” certification or enable certain benefits.
This is also a technique to stay in the market without really hiring. Google did this throughout 2022. They didn’t want to go public with layoffs or hiring freeze, hence all roles were technically open only for women. Now the applicants had no clue- we would set up interviews for everyone, but only women were considered for an offer. Men were being put on hold. This way they hired less people-were gaining traction on social media for hiring- no one spoke of their layoffs until they started happening in 2023. Hence protecting there stock value through 2022. Microeconomics.

Nah bhai aisa nahi hona chahiye, diversity ratio leke kya ukhad lega, talent ko hire karna chahiye. Diversity ratio naam pe sirf women ko hire kar raha hai. Ye sab leke kya karega corporate me? Match making / brokerage.

Tcs offered better policies earlier, including return-to-work programs, and managed to hold onto a lot of women employees. Infy is now trying to catch up.
