Hi, I am a recent graduate from IIT from a non cs background. I have a pretty decent salary. I am enjoying software engineering right now.
Is masters or MBA really required to excel in life?
No
Forget about masters, even bachelor's degree isn't required. I'm a dropout in tech and I make good enough salary.
No need. Unless you wanna do good in depth research in something then can join MS+PhD. Once you reach managerial level and think that you can't move ahead unless an MBA then do a good executive MBA sponsored by your employer.

I would say with existing norms yes unless you are in the start up ecosystem with at least 2-3 yrs of experience. Considering other than startup ecosystem you will always be working in a minimum 1000+ company
