Is having multipke revenue steam for full time employees the norm now?

Just posted an advert for a marketing position. Received several requests from full time employees to make it a freelance position to apply and get another revenue stream.

Folks are primarily from Bangalore.

People who've voted yes above, what are the most common income streams apart from the full time job and skills as a freelancer that people have?

Just curious about this. Would be great if you can answer the following.
What was your reaction to this? Did you make it a freelance position?
Also, people who contacted you, is their full time job also in marketing?

1.I was amused. As a startup owner, my first reaction was how can I make this not happen in my company (because we give competitive salary). I'm still hiring for it. Most likely we'll hire someone full time.

  1. Yes, they had full time positions in marketing.
