Is H1B from TCS really guarantee Onsite?
I have been selected for H1B from tcs and USCIS is currently in process. What is the chances of getting onsite opportunity after that? I know there are many people in TCS who have US visa but they are not sent onsite. Does it hold any value to have H1B or is it just a trap to hold you in TCS? Please share your experience.

Petition/Stamping will take some time.
You will have to talk to your manager and get released to find an opening in another accounts.
I know a few whose visas got expired already without travelling.

They wont let you.
H1 is for a customer by an employer for an employee.
So you cant change customer when they are filing petition for you.
if you want release from only the project, but want to join another project of same Customer, that wont be a problem.
Irrespective of this, if a manager raises h1 for you, he wont easily release you. At least you have to be travel ready to ask for release. I.e after getting the stamping.
How to get Onsite opportunity for C3B?
Please have a word with your supervisor or manager and share your expectations, they should address your aspirations. If they don’t, look for opportunities outside your account and ask them for release.
