Trending @Capgemini; Is Capgemini doing silent Layoff?

I came across two scenarios very recently where people have been put into BOTP after getting escalation from clients due to performance issues. I have been into CG for around 3.6 years now but haven't come across these types of scenarios. Could anyone please provide there thoughts? Were these things previously also existed or it is a new way of putting people into BOTP and PIP?

In Capgemini lay-offs never happens and will never happen, Botp and Pip is also rare and there hiring rate is also very high ..
If one or two person not performing well since years , then ofcourse they deserve PIP

Capgemini isn't officially doing silent layoffs, but performance issues can lead to BOTP or PIP. It's not new; it's just more noticeable now. Focus on improving your skills and performance.

From the start of this year CG is doing this Instead of directly firing you, they will keep us on Botp for 2 months
