It's not been reduced officially but over all there are efforts from not only tcs but other companies to reduce the on bench percentage to save cost and this is especially applicable for people with legacy skills and on the bench for a longer period of time .
Honestly I really think while in Rmg your focus should be to get on to a better project than you were in before as early as possible and not take an approach of considering this as paid vacation and if you aren't finding anything within TCS it's wise to start searching outside and resign while on bench as the notice of 90 days isn't mandatory and you can get an benefit of early release & gain the option of moving to other company most likley with better hike
Nope they are resources who are in bench for more than 6 months. Once you are on the bench you need to make sure you report to rmg and visit office daily. It's getting tough for people who are on bench for more than 6 months.
Anything is possible it can change to 1 week as well
