Is AI Replacing Roles in TCS or Is It Just the Market?
Hey everyone, just curious—has anyone seen or heard of any teams or areas in TCS where AI is being used for technical activities or processes that reduce the human effort ? If yes, how effectively is it working in real-time scenarios?
In my project we are not using any AI as it was a support project, due to budget constraints they made ramp down.
When TCS quotes technlogy shift towards AI, i want to understand how effectively they are doing it.

The thing is AI is not replacing jobs we are using copilot to generate code, clients are expecting one developer instead 3, TCS services model failed. No USA company wants to outsource to TCS because of its management. AI is not the reason. The main culprits are RMG, CEO, Chairman.
TCS has lost accountability, vision, trust of customers

Have you seen head count reduction for this in your team? Or chances of making it soon

Yes, from 5 to 1 in my project only, man TCS had a lot of time to look after the business but no one cared. TCS could have gained the trust but never under Kirti's CEO. Rajesh Gopinathan at least Tried But He is unable to speak in Quarterly Results too.

Using AI tools like cursor ai for development and migration. Using for past 4 months. Productivity gain is there for sure. But still human supervision and guidance are needed.

Due to this implementation, Head count reduced so far? Or any chances of reducing human count in team?

Our project has neither AI nor cloud.
Moreover, the client developed the entire project in-house and TCS lost the project to the client.

Please comment everyone who know this topic so that all can understand different projects situations and TCS quotes on bench policy, layoffs How these changes relatable particularly on AI implemented in TCS
