It depends on your finances and your family income. Also it can vary upon which location you stay because for bangalore or Pune it will not be sufficient as a lone survivor..

Good salary is subjective. If your expenses are taken care by parents, then 55k is awesome salary. You can purchase a car on EMI with this salary or go on foreign vacation every 6 months.
