Is 5-6lakh per month post tax possible in software engineering

Rn I'm just starting out and it's been 2 years. Should I expect getting 5-6lakhs per month post tax in 6-7 years as salary? Is it something I can expect?

5 lakhs a month is 60 lakhs an year. Which roughly is ~1 crore CTC.

Get a remote US job that pays > $120K and it could work. The number of years is up to you.

With 7-8 years of experience, I doubt.

In 6-7 years, sure! It’ll be worth around 3lpm today tho, with iPhone 20 “pro” costing like 2.5L

Yeah you definitely can! Keep Upskilling yourself , take good ownership, learn to build things from scratch and it’s very much possible. I’m currently have 3.5 YOE and my fixed salary excluding esops pre tax is around 5.5 lakh with a CTC of 1.2 cr.

Nope, will easily take 15 years or more if you're working at Indian salaries. There are some people who get it earlier than that but they are few and far between. And the higher you go, the less it's about cash-in-hand and more about other forms of compensation.

If you want to grow, then focus on $ or handling technical scale and large teams in successful startups as quickly as possible.
