Is 45L a good amount for an investment portfolio in 10yrs?
Over 10 years of working in non-IT sector and around 6-7years of investing has brought my investment portfolio of MFs to 45L. Have incurred losses as well while dabbling with other avenues of investment. Is this good amount to have accumulated for the time frame ?
It is good! If regular discipline has got you here, even better. What monthly amount did you start with if it is an SIP, what is your current SIP, what percent of your pay is it? Are there other avenues of investment you have as well?
Thank you! I invested between 40-60% of my pay monthly till I was single depending on expenses and wants. Spent money only after saving first. Wonder how to creat a 1 cr portfolio now that the disciplined saving has become inconsistent. What are contemporaries with around the same work tenure doing about investing and if anyone has reached 1 cr?
Currently I am at 0 due to major expenses since getting married.
