Is 22lpa good to be in TCS at 10yoe. Or should I try for a switch again?
Hi All, I am in TCS with 22lpa and having exp of around 10yrs in Java backend technology.Considering the current IT mrkt situation should I stay here or shall I try for a switch if this pckg does nt define a market standards.
As I am married and having Lil daughter so I am worried about the job security outside the TCS.
Kindly suggest. Pls don't spread any negativity. Only real suggestions.
Start giving interviews you will come to know about the market , it’s not that bad and it’s better to get the offer and negotiate with TCS if you want to stay in TCS but I will suggest take the offer and leave TCS
As per my view, you can switch to the different company. Don’t stay with TCS ,
22 lpa - salary —
10% will be Quarterly performance
80K - Retention bonus
Your total CTC - 18.60 LPA
Imo you can get better opportunities considered yoe. Given current situation of TCS it will be better anyways. Also, reg job security market has never been that worse imo that one might not get any better opportunity within 3-4months and market will not improve for few more years as well.
Totally depends upon you. Are you in comfort zone? Then don't leave TCS. Else, you should definitely try outside if better rewards are available.
