For Apple employees, maybe a 25% off can be expected. That was the usual, but there is a limitation or threshold for that every three years and up to 200$ I guess.
If you personally want to go any country and purchase iphone then feasible options are Dubai, Vietnam, Thailand and Singapore. In Singapore you can take GST refund at the airport. But flight and hotels are costly there. While Thailand is a Visa free country for Indian nationals. Hotels and flight cost are feasible. Vietnam takes Rs 2400 for single entry e-visa. Hotels and flights are cheaper than Singapore.
