
Ipf rating disagreement. 3.8- Please suggest. No sarcasm please
Hi, I worked efficiently for the entire year, delivered multiple key requirements without any delays
I had suggested multiple ideas during hackathon, ai hackathon, participated and runner up in ai Frieday.
Did multiple certifications in all the latest technologies.
Helped the team members wherever required
Now, whole team has got rating of more than 4 and other fruits. But me in other hand have got bad rating.
I am really demotivated and depressed. And feel like resigning without any offer. Please suggest.
@InsistentEyelid34 - I feel u buddy, I'm in my first year and i received 4.13 IPF rating, whereas I have received multiple client appreciations, TCS internal awards and client onsite offer as well for next year, but despite that I got quite low rating, and others got better rating.
I was so frustrated and reached out to the director level, my managers managers managers, and then explained the entire situation, shared the appreciation snippets, etc. he said first discuss it with manager and then reach back to me, after discussing with manager, he said everyone getting same, what's your problem.
I said I don't care what everyone got, as I will fight for what I deserve. Then I reached out again to director and he said the window is closed now for ipf rating modification.
But he promised that he will take care of band, now I know everyone and every single person in management is looking out for themselves and I don't believe in anyone, so I just hope my client calls me onsite as they promised soon.
At the end of day, my suggestion to you, don't fight the fight you can't win, even if it is the dharma (right fight).
Hence, your options, 1. Let it go, you are basically leaving 4k-5k per month salary increase,
Or
Option 2, switch to another company.

Talent and performances don't matter much in TCS. They are important, but less than visibility - you have to be useful to the right person/people at the right time - else, even if you deliver in other areas, you don't get the credit. This is the truth I learnt the hard way.

Is this your 1st appraisal?
Same thing happened with me during 1st appraisal, got 3.92 IPF, inspite of getting very good client feedback. I got C band and raised disagreement, which was of no help.

I think appraisal is closed now. Disagreement will not make any changes just your comments will be recorded.
