
Don't get carried away by IPF rating. You can still get C. The high ipf is to cool your nerves till band release. After that manager can say that he gave high rating but it got normalised in leadership level. This is based on my 9 year experience with tcs mid level leadership

Okay! But why manager will give the high IPF and lower band? What is their agenda behind this?
According to HR's SPEED is a very transparent process, but according to your experience it's not.

True it will happen a lot. This is like providing contradictory feedback. However they will justify putting blame on leadership, bell curve, fitment etc. be sure you challenge if the final banding is not relatable to ipf

C because above 4.9 means A and B

I have given 3.8-4.8 to my subordinates in the previous project. People who got 4.2 got A and people who got 4.5 got B and C. Ipf is from managers and ratings are from management (bu head, program manager etc)
