All "alternatives" lock up your money.
Crypto with wallet hacks and insane taxes.
Land with illiquidity.
Be fluid. Stick to MFs. Diversify a bit.
Satisfy your itches with hobbies, not with playing around with your hard earned money.
That is too restrictive thought IMO Diversifying into investments other that MFs is not playing around with money, if it done with proper research at right times
If the thought of only MFs is restrictive, what properly researched instrument are you thinking about?
For normal equity investments itself tracking companies and getting a holistic view is difficult. In your alternative investments how do you plan to track pump-and-dump cryptos or political party goons sit on your well-researched land?
There are only 5 asset classes : equity, debt, real estate, gold, crypto. Whatever instrument or product you find, is a mix of the above.
