Trending @Wipro; Invest in VPF

Is VPF a good option to invest ?

How much can I contribute of my basic ?

Can I apply for it after the April month or only in financial first month ?

It is a safe investment with good returns. Not huge like mutual funds.
You can contribute any amout in a month and it will be auto debited from your salary for the entire financial year. You can also change the amount anytime you want.

Let example if my salary is 13 LPA, And I'll invest 1 LPA in VPF

Will I get tax rebate due to deduction of 1LPA as VPF ?

And also will my salary calculated as tax free under the new regime as 13-1 = 12. ?

If you're planning for long term (more than 10 years) then equity would give better returns.

I would say a better option. But make sure it won't exceed 2.5 lakhs annually including your Employer contribution + PF + VPF. Otherwise it will attract TDS

You can refer the policy for max contribution you can make.

Investing on VPF is completely your financial planning and decision, if you ask in general it is the safe option for retirement.
