Interviews after joining

Guys I have legit fobia of interviews to start things with Then I somehow cracked the interview and got in but now they are saying like i am on tcs payroll and they want me into some project Random ppl are calling me now and asking questions on phone only then hands on coding and then client round and what not Is this common ? Why can't I say in the project that I am mapped into ? Can someone please guide me 🙏
