Interviewer took a bad interview today

Today I had an interview but the interviewer asked a totally useless DSA question, such an illogical question it was like even he is telling me like you need to find a way to solve it by writing a lot of examples. Even he also doesn't have proof why this way is the only correct way to solve it.
