Interview just an eye wash

So on Feb 1st I attended an interview at Tech M and I got an email that I have been shortlisted from the first round and when I asked the concerned person he just said there is a bug , I don't know how a bug can draft an email and send it to a person. These types of interviews in reputed companies are just to attract the investors.
