Internal employee conversion in citigroup

Hi all,

As a vendor from Apexon working within Citigroup, my experience has been positive, and I am fortunate that my client lead and client team (comprising AVPs and VP) are satisfied with my contributions. Approximately three weeks ago, my client lead VP from citigroup inquired about my interest in converting to an internal employee position, a prospect I welcomed. However, he also noted the ongoing layoffs within Citi, suggesting that the current period is not ideal for such a transition and that any conversion might be delayed until June, July, or potentially August. I am interested in hearing from anyone who has encountered a similar situation. Given the current layoffs, yet also considering Citigroup's reported profitability this year, what are the realistic chances of such a conversion? Furthermore, should a conversion be approved, what is the typical salary increase, and what is the general timeline for transitioning from a vendor to a full-time employee (FTE) role?
