i appreciate Zomato for doing out of the box thinking, only growth mindset people know what's going on here, others will blindly criticize these things

They want to check how many people are stupid enough to apply

Now waiting for companies with no revenue and funding to pull the same or use this as an excuse to not pay their employees.

I would have applied in my early days of professional life when my liabilities were too less. Now the days I have to feed my family and I don't have 40lakh in bank .

As stupid and mean as it could be. What not to do for hiring 101. Monetory benefits trumps everything else. Not paying at all for a year for 'learning' could still be digested for the role and experience. But asking money to pay to charity is downright criminal. Not sure if apprenticeship acts or anything can prohibit such predatorship in the name of employment
