Intel Career Info

Being a recently converted intern at Intel (just months ago) in the CAD domain, having a never ending passion for RTL Design, Low-Power Design and Micro architecture, how likely is it to have an internal switch of domain (without strong referral backup) or is it a necessary call to be made to forget passion and focus on learning of current domain. Advices are most welcome.
