Insurance Co pay horrors

I am on gold plus plan at tcs. Did a surgery of 20k. They asked us to bear 10k.

Not sure why to have an insurance from tcs anymore.

Previously they were known for having a best insurance policy.

Buddy, it all depends on the hospital how they send the break up of cost incurred to the TPA. Talk to the hospital TPA responsible and tell them u will not pay that much amount... They need to send a revised bill to TPA.

I have also Gold plus plan. Please tell me in Gold plus plan can I add my parents? If so then how much premium would be deducted from my salary?

Around 6k is deducted currently. I upgraded it to gold plus default was gold. Two parent,wife,child plus me.

Starting this year, Copayment has been introduced in our policies which is capped at 15% or 15k whichever is lower

Co pay limit is based on chosen plan. Higher plans have higher limit.

Good for Cashless treatment if it is a Planned Surgery

You need to look at breakup. The insurance company does not pay registration or pharmacy. They also have cap amount on some treatments. You can see the break up and approval in medibuddy app and website.
