Instagram password crack

Is it really possible to crack Instagram password without knowing mobile number or email id ? Some wanabe hackers claimed that they can do it. Please share insights.

So what basically they do is they know the username now consider that one of your good friends got the account recently hacked. the hacker would message you from your friends account telling you that you ll recieve a link that you need to send me. That link is basically instagram password reset link and he already knows your username.
