We are a team of just three people out of which my manager doesn't do shit apart from asking for updates no help no support The other Engineer in my team is my friend she has done only three apis And he has given me 8 API And at the very last moment he has added one new flow and he wants me to do it in one day I am literally mentally so tired of working constantly I have modified 38 java files until now And now he wants me to do more And i have to check in this code too This man doesn't understand how to distribute work Seriously I don't want to work at all now my mind is so tired How can people be so dumb that one person is working so much still they don't understand or care

It's simple. The more work you do in a short span of time, the more work will be assigned to you.
Take your time to complete your task. Don't be in a hurry to finish off.

They won't care until and unless you speak up and take a stand for yourself. Since the annual appraisal is nearby , make sure you are documenting all the work that you have done and get it reviewed by your manager and his manager. Also mention how you have been significantly working harder .
Same with me. I don't understand how the majority of things come to my plate. Everyone takes advantage of being nice. Less politics == more work This I understand.

Upon joining this company, I received two valuable pieces of advice from senior colleagues. The first was: "Don't overload yourself with tasks. Taking on too much will only lead to burnout. Don’t hesitate to advocate for yourself if your plate is already full; let others know and politely decline additional responsibilities." The second piece of advice was: "Learn to articulate your tasks clearly. Don't reduce a significant task to just a few words. Big tasks deserve detailed explanations. When describing what you’ve accomplished, provide a thorough account—don’t attempt to pass off a small task as something more substantial."By being assertive and standing up for ourselves, our team lead now assigns tasks equitably, considering both their criticality and our seniority. Additionally, when similar tasks arise, they are distributed among different team members rather than repeatedly assigning them to the same person. This approach ensures that everyone becomes familiar with solving various issues, reducing dependency on any single individual. In the long run, this has greatly benefited our entire team.
