INFY HR negotiation

Yesterday (28th July) I had a face interview at Infosys, it went well and HR and the manager were impressed too. But during the salary discussion I was expecting around 80% hike on top of my 8LPA salary, they offered me 11(39%) and I said let's finalize 12(50% hike). But he said he has to take permission from upper management so I will get a call next week on the same else he would have released the offer on the same week. I don't know now I'm feeling I would have taken 11 LPA offer.
