Infosys lateral onboarding delay

My joining was on Dec 1 which they revised to Jan 1. Reason they said is logistic issues/office unavailability and project alignment. When I mailed HR she said the same and added all doc from my end are clear no worries. Does this happen and is Jan 1 my final DOJ? Can I trust them?
