Infosys job role pls explain

I gave an interview at Infosys, and at that time they mentioned the job role as Technical Analyst (.NET Developer). However, the offer letter shows the role as Associate Consultant. Could you please explain the difference between these two roles? I am more interested in programming than in handling clients.
