Trending @Infosys; Infosys | Japan onsite Opportunity

I have around 4.6YOE, infosys being my first firm. I have been in current account for 2.5years. The work(migration) I'm doing right now is boring and has been exactly the same for the last 1 year and I have to do it in future.

Now, I have 2 options

  1. Contact STG and ask for release from account
  2. Look for opportunities outside (which everyone is suggesting to me)

For option 1, i want onsite Opportunity at least in the next 6 months (I will be having 5yoe). But infy doesn't give any written guarantee. My personal preference is to go onsite in Japan.

I wanna know if infy has such projects? If yes, how to approach them? Or shall I look for a better opportunity outside.

Please guide. TIA

I would suggest you get an offer first,

Then you can negotiate for whatever you want in Infosys

Even if they can't give you can go out

Without resignation I doubt they'll give priority to your request

So why Japan specifically?

Japan is my personal preference nothing much.

  1. The US will take around 1.5 years(this year i didn't get the h1b lottery)
  2. Non-US visa/formalities are easier and takes only few months.
  3. US/Canada is out of my preference.

And honestly I'm not sure which countries Infosys operates in. And whether they have the opportunity or not.
