India's First Private Military Aircraft Facility Launched

• PM Modi and Spanish PM Pedro Sanchez inaugurated the TASL-Airbus facility in Vadodara on October 28.
• The facility will produce C-295 military transport aircraft, the first private sector establishment in India for military aircraft.
• C-295 aircraft will initially serve domestic needs and later be exported.
• The facility aims to create a complete ecosystem for aircraft manufacturing, from assembly to maintenance.
• India signed a Rs 21,000 crore deal with Airbus to procure 56 C-295 aircraft, replacing the IAF's Avro-748 planes.
