Indians Situation in US

Is it true that whatever is shown in news outlets is happening to indians in US we see students are getting shot ,older people are being forced to give up on green cards , lack of jobs even if they did fine with their education and have good skills , I mean yeah we know about deportation of indians but that's not how chinese are being treated i mean what's happening , because i am earning not too good but not too bad in india as of now and i feel i made a right decision of not considering going to US because i got a marriage proposal and i had to leave my job here and enroll there to get a degree and then get job there considering i myself is not from a good financial background , still i want to know what is the actual situation there. Does anyone have real ground level idea.
