That's not uniquely Indian mentality. There are some manipulative and sociopathic people in every country in the world, who are willing to use others achieve their own goals, without giving anything in return
Yeah.. more or less, they dont support each other. They always rant about all negative things if you're going to start something new.
Generally the same mentality exists elsewhere in the world as well but in Indians possibly because resources have been so limited traditionally and the focus always on survival , that the outlook to live and let live is seen as stupidity, and the idea that you need to 'curb' your peers to stay relevant is seen as a right.
As a nation, we were always suppressed and the best way to suppress is to keep them fighting between themselves. It's fine sometimes but totally dehumanizing sometimes. Some things change very slowly. If at all.
