Indian govt taking proposals to build India's first foundational model. Your thoughts?
Do we really need it? And what does Indian model even mean? And I am still not convinced that it will be SOTA

This is expected to be india's biggest success. It is just a matter of time, before they roll it out. This will change the way this whole county functions. But am sure, they will do it, only after we roll out "kaveri engine" for our tejas flight which was started in 1982.
to understand the timelines here, Sachin was 9 years old, he played first ODI 7 years later. Manohan singh was in planning commission and not even started in political career, BJP won two seats in general elections two years later. and we are still developing it.
Even if it is SOTA now, it won't be in 6 months. We should invest in creating quality data archives for future models and invest in AI infrastructure.
