Indian economy scam
Is the gdp number a scam? India has one of the worst infra and public service setup in the world. Rupee has an annual depreciation of 4-7% abhi and recently annual depreciation is 10% around. There is 10%+ inflation in every essential service and job salary increments are around 7-8% on an avg.
How the f*** is the Indian economy booming? Isn't 7-8% gdp growth a scam? Isn't per capita income of Indians actually dropping? Taxes (direct and indirect) are increasing day by day with no social security net for majority taxpayers. There isn't a zilch development or Innovation of any sort in the India. Quality of life is nosediving each passing day with only polluted air water and roads being rolled out to the citizens.
Staying back in this shithole is one of the most regretful decisions. How many of you agree? Please share comments on how to navigate from this situation.
I really has least amount of hope from this country. Staying here just because of family reason . Currently travelling to Siliguri , WB through bus , and bc kya jhaatu road hai .. 30% tax, road tax , indirect tax pata nhi kaha jata hai .. there is literally 0 value of life here . Indian economy is truly a scam . Nothing more than that

Just reached Sittong . It’s a place off beat to Darjeeling. Idhar road nhi hai , par bc BJP/TMC ka jhanda har ped pe chipka k rakha hai .. Shows the seriousness of people in power. When the PM is compromised, allocation to R&D , Healthcare facilities and Education is at all time low (god knows where does Health & Education Cess goes which is deducted every month from my salary). When the whole PR machinery revolves around one man , how he is non biological. When Lauda behen yojna , religious sentiments get more attention than ceiling falling on school going children or a national level basketball player getting died in the court because of poor infrastructure or a poor man dying due to poor infrastructure. This country is beyond repair !! Sorry for the rant. Was really pissed today seeing the road conditions!

Your disappointment is understandable but calling your a country shithole and negating everything that has happened in the last 80 yrs since independence is not right. I think we have come a long way and still need to go far from here. Just imagine if you were born in Sudan or a fking Burquina Faso what would have been your situation.

In last 80 years...apart from the splliover effect of western tech progress nothing has changed....indian govt mindset and bullshit way of working has remained the same...if not became worst. India has gone actually backwards over time in comparison to its peers

We are divided by religion caste states language and so much stuff.
We dont have a single product or commodity the world cannot live without. Those folks who come saying cheap labour please do remember world functioned without cheap labour and it will continue to. The companies lose profit but thats pretty much it.

The rich are definitely getting richer those from Middle class all types and below are pushed into eternal slavery. There are two ways to control humankind. Give them endless entertainment and heavily in debt. Both are easy today.
Our own folks are our biggest enemies. We need a super hard reset. One that can re create our fundamental principles.

India like the US is a K shaped economy now.
All the growth you see benefits only the top 1-2%. The rest see no or negative growth.
Now if you also factor in any growth per capita metric you realise we are not better than any other third world shithole.
I know you just wanted to rant and not understand the economics behind it, but if you want the actual answer you can study and you'll find it.
Developing countries almost always have higher inflation. Per capita income isn't dropping. Although you could argue the purchase power of the lower middle class has dropped. But the amount of wealth in the upper classes is growing significantly and the wealth gap is increasing.
Inflation is higher than increments but the number of higher paying jobs in different roles are increasing - so people who can switch and adapt thrive regardless of inflation.
While there is a ton to be unhappy about, running away to a different country won't solve your problems. You need to learn to see the bright side and be positive.
India has done a pretty good job of staying out of any major conflict. We never worry about getting missiles dropped on our heads. We don't have a ridiculous healthcare system like America. Our child mortality rates, polio, malaria etc have seen huge improvements. The average family thirty years ago couldn't afford TV.
What we consider a good quality of life has changed dramatically.
Anyway all that to say, if you wanna move out then go ahead but the grass isn't always greener on the other side. You gain some and you lose some.
Source- me. I'm not an Indian but I choose to live in India even though i can live in any of the "developed" countries that are not scam according to you.
When you go out on indian roads - full of potholes, no one following driving rules, garbage piles, shoddy and unfinished poor quality pillars all over the road....doesn't it create any impression on you on how far behind india is compared to other nations? How pathetic the life here is? Don't you feel the SCAM?

country needs Male Forced Sterilization. we really need to have 1/3 of the current population. if population keep increasing we are next bangaldesh and pakistan , the reason i want less population is to have less stupid and corrupt people. India is a country of stupid and curropt people, we are rats basically. with less people we might be able to educate and improve life and enforce laws
GDP measures the total value of goods and services produced in an economy. It does not care how income is distributed.
If the rest of the population’s income is stagnant, GDP can still rise as long as the rich are generating and spending/investing more.
Indians need common sense which is not so common.
