
Indian bosses are pathetic
I have a boss who has done MBA from IIM and does not know anything about people management.
- Does not know what motivated people
- Does not care about team's difficulty
- Blames team member during challenging time instead of first understanding whether it's the person's fault or not
- Would never back team member when they complain about stakeholder's repeated poor collaboration
- If he writes any code, he will write it with such lazy attitude, the code written does bare minimum, highly unoptimised, garbage readability and then he will be like zyada ache se nai likha hai but chalega abhi and when any team members does the same then does not tolerate
- highly entitled: team works beyond working hours but he will never, constantly complaints about leadership, call work environment toxic while he himself creates toxicity
There is gross lack of management skills in Indian bosses and no companies wants to invest in making them better
P.S. Pathetically selfish, he never cares about growth of his team members but wants promotion for himself. Stupid ass doesn't even know that leader grows only if team grows.

Typical IIM headweight.
My manager is from IIMB, doesn't know shit.
A critical resource quit recently and she goes on to hire 3 resources in place of one. Only criteria for hire: IIM passouts. Do any of the new hires know the work? No.
All the lady does is talk tons, overpromises in meetings, and goes on chai breaks cracking PJ's that make your ears bleed.

Now while joining I check below criterias by sending mail.
1.how is the team structure ? Is there any scrum master in project or not? If manager is the one who is driving the project I would not be joining the project and scrum masters make the work atleast smooth .

Is the project agile or not? Most companies lie saying 99% of our projects are agile so dont get trapped by all these this is a red flag check if the project has any scrum masters or not if not it's a red flag mostly . No scrum masters means work is generally haphazard and there is no estimation so you will end up doing work endlessly in the name of ownership

Check if client is usa or European . If it's usa clients I would love to stay away from joining

Check if teams has any contractors ? Is yes then avoid joining as one contractor can destroy them entire working environment as they will keep on working high to keep their jobs while other people will have to keep working to keep pace with them if you are not working you will be constantly compared with them

Would not join a team where there is all team members are from same location as that increases the politics and toxicity levels

Try to get name of manager before hand and talk to people on LinkedIn in that company how is that manager and all

Angrez bhai ki aulad suno acche se, iss desh k andar agar ese high level managers ko kuch nahi ata iska matlab woh talent k base par nahi politics yaa reservation k base par aaye hai. Really talented people don't behave like my friend mentioned in the post. I am not saying all reservation beneficiaries are bad. But some are really exploiting the loop hole in the system. Don't depict yourself as a victim always. Try to accept the hard fact also.

Its not about the skillset, its the mentality of Indians being a boss, even out side, they do the same. Which is why you shouldn't have Indian bosses

He is not leader he is ur boss he will exploit u and blame u when problem arise dont expect anything else

People complaining about bad managers, while they will exactly replicate all of this when they become managers.

Even my boss is from NIT / IIT and after 30 years of exp, he still says that i am from IIT etc., btw in 30 years he learnt how to scream, shout, find faults in everything anyone does..
