These news are driven by news agency which are backed by firms into shorting business. This will bring nifty IT index down for sometime to help shorters make some money. Typical market manipulation since things are sensitive now and so much news driven. As a normal IT employee, would suggest to avoid any type of news for time being.
Agree, and these type of decisions can't be done overnight. Infact if this is true it would impact US economy as well indirectly.
Looks fake as fuck. If he does it he will lose all his leverage against India. I don't believe one bit that he will create such a disruption in the USA's tech industry. It takes so much time, effort and mental gymnastics to streamline the operations into another country. Also I don't think any other country apart from India has such a cheap educated labor and exploitative environment. So we are here to stay. Looks like a vested interest post. Chill and do your weekend chores.

Tariff or blocking?
If Trump blocks outsourcing to India, US IT service companies will collapse sooner or later. It’s not that simple..the move will hurt both the US and India badly. Where will they find skilled IT talent at scale and at low cost? Labor is cheap in India and China due to high population and intense competition. Without outsourcing, US companies will face higher costs, talent shortages, and slower growth. India’s IT sector may take a hit, but global demand ensures it will bounce back. Ultimately, restricting outsourcing is like cutting off oxygen for both economies.

India possesses a significant amount of resources suitable for the IT sector, enabling the development of domestic cloud services and potentially at competitive costs. Supporting Indian startups in this manner could strengthen the dependency between our countries.
AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure are mostly powered by Indian people only. And if we can do such infrastructure, most of the businesses will take a subscription from us as it will be cheap.
