India Pakistan Escalation: Discussion Thread

I think we should have a place to discuss this. Middle of the workplace, and I'm unable to focus anymore because of how grim it is.

What I know so far:

  • The LoC has seen renewed shelling, civilian casualties on both sides are rising, and military alert levels are at a peak.

  • Airports have shut (Amritsar etc.), and evacuations are underway in border areas. Global powers, including the UN, US, and China, are urging restraint, the situation remains highly volatile.

  • Both countries appear unwilling to back down. This is the worst escalation since 2019 and could spiral further without immediate diplomatic intervention.

It seems we've seen ~50 innocent lives lost due to Pakistan's shellings too.

Please add as you discover more information, or as things unfold. Stay safe.

Hope no war happens and someone stops Pakistan or India makes peace treaty with Pakistan

FluffyMarshmallow

Pakistan should graciously kneel, beg India to halt the war, and maybe—just maybe—try peace instead of sponsoring terrorists for a change.

If freedom fighters thinks like you ... still we are under British control... it's time to distroy Pakistanis thoughts

Do we think this is going to become a full fledged war? Why is no other country stopping Pakistan form escalating it. They’re being foolish

Exactly
There needs to be intervention

Every country is looking out for themselves, the entire reason we had to do this operation. US Russia pretend they are friends but don't act like friends. If shit hits the fan both can go nuclear

We should get a hike if pakistan merges with India as a reward

Lolol. Bhai, whatever hike will be given to you will have to be distributed to them if they merge. Might as well make your hike % negative :D

Totally agree with you! There's a constant fear, specially amongst those living away from their families. If at all a full-fledged war takes place, how do we even move back to our homes? Just like the sudden lockdown situation. 😟

The people who (or whose families) are away from the states bordering Pakistan/Bangladesh/China will never fully understand this plight and are thoughtlessly asking for stronger retaliation.

I think the other first world countries must intervene and get this matter dissolved as soon as possible. Otherwise, this will take a disastrous turn and take our country decades back. 😥

Feeling the same, how we will back to our homes if suddenly war started

GoofyPancake

It is worrisome but as you know Pakistan army wants to show itself as strong to its public so they cant back down now. They will try to escalate for sure as you can see they attacked 15 cities last night

And we still have to WFH amid blackouts and high alert?

DancingCoconut

Thinking pakistan wouldn’t retaliate wasn’t right at the first place. They are the ones enforcing terrorism. For them, it’s just a chance to do more such things on the name of retaliation!

This is NOT the India I grew up in

I am in shock that the Canadian PM, in the Canadian Parliament no less has alleged that India has eliminated a khalistani on Canadian soil. I still remember the days, when the single greatest attack on the soul of the country took place...
