30 cr for leanfire

It's sad people believe this is what it takes to retire.

Wow 30cr!?

Tier 1 : 5 Cr. Tier 2 : 3 Cr.

Whaaat? 5 cr in tier 1?

I believe it's better to settle in tier2/tier 3 cities post retirement. Generally spending cuts is about 30% due to this. I believe if any individual has 1 lakh fix spends then may be one needs close to 3 cr to maintain lifestyle and make it double for margin of safety. So put you numbers in place of 1 lakh a month. Assumption is you have your own house. (Maybe not in tier1 city but your city of choice post retirement)

tier 1: $2M ~ 16cr luxurious fire

Tier 1: 10 cr as of 2025 Tier 2: 5 cr as of 2025
Keep adding inflation every year, otherwise doesn’t make sense to have this by 2035..
Should cover stable income and unexpected issues for rest of the life including beating inflation.
